The Town of Vermont does not have garbage pick-up or recycling service.

• Citizens wanting garbage pick-up must arrange privately for this. A private service that is available to Town of Vermont residents for garbage pick-up & recycling is Tim’s Trucking. Residents can call Tim’s Trucking at 608-643-8760 for additional information.

• Residents can also choose to take care of their garbage by transporting it themselves to the: Mazomanie Transfer Site, 10347 Hwy 14

If you want to do this, you need to purchase a yearly Transfer Site Permit for $150.00. Make checks payable to the Town of Mazomanie and mail to:

Proper Disposal of Unwanted Items

• Dane County Clean Sweep “is a place to bring hazardous household materials such as oil-based paints and paint-related products, pesticides & poisons, household products containing organic solvents, ignitables, aerosols and rechargeable batteries”
• Resource Solutions Corp – Recyclethatstuff.com – accepts electronics and appliances for recycling. Check out the company site to determine if there is a fee for the item you would like to recycle.
